“King of musical chairs” trumpeter Eric Robins never knows which seat he’ll land on or where music will next take him.
When invitations pop, Robins gets whisked away to distant shores – from Mexico to China to Kazakhstan, to Boston or Florida. But no matter where he is, Robin’s trumpet is surely close by. What’s his latest engagement? – melding classical Western music with ancient Eastern melodies in a 7-city tour with the Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra. At the end of September, Robins had traveled with Shen Yun coast to coast and performed at Carnegie Hall last October 5 2013.
